Bitmarck Faces Cyberattack, Shuts Down Systems
Bitmarck, a German IT services provider, has shut down customer and internal systems in the wake of a cyberattack. The company announced on May 1st that it had discovered an attack on its internal networks, responding by taking data centers and other systems offline. Bitmarck claims that customer and individuals' data was stolen in the attack and that they are working to restore normal operations.
Impact on Services
“Internal health insurance services such as the transmission of statistical data at the end of the month, the KIM specialist service and central processes for processing in the health insurance companies are currently or will be available again shortly,” the company said.
