Prior to Halcyon, Jon was a co-founder of Boldend, a next-generation defense contractor focused on building offensive tools for the US Government. Previous to Boldend, Jon held the title of Chief Research Officer of Cylance (now Blackberry) where he focused on malware and product efficacy. Prior to Cylance, Jon was employee number 70 at Accuvant (now Optiv) where with a group of others he helped build and lead the largest technical consultancy at the time Accuvant LABS, working with over 95% of the Fortune 500 as an offensive security expert.

Before Accuvant, Jon was a ten year veteran penetration tester, serving as one of the first in the industry working for the Internet Security Systems (now IBM) X-Force.

Jon is frequently featured in the media as an expert in information security and nation state cyber warfare, he has been featured as a guest on 60 minutes multiple times.

Ryan has spent 25+ years as a pioneer in the information security space. One of the industry's first researchers, Ryan is a recognized expert in vulnerability identification, exploitation, defensive security product architecture, and machine learning.

Starting his career as an engineer, he became a master of lower level languages and architectures, and then applied those concepts to identifying vulnerabilities inside compiled binaries and protocols.

Previously, Ryan was a co-founder of Boldend where he served as CTO. Prior to Boldend, Ryan was the VP, Research at Cylance (now Blackberry), CTO of Exodus Intelligence, Chief Scientist of Optiv and Accuvant LABS, a security researcher at multiple Fortune 500 companies, as well as a consultant in his early years. Jon met Ryan in the early 2000s and have worked closely together ever since.

Jeff brings over 25 years of sales leadership experience to Halcyon. Throughout his career he has been a part of some great teams and several successful exits including: Ironport Systems (acquired by Cisco for 830M) and Evident.io (acquired by Palo Alto Networks for 320M).  

Jeff has not only built early-stage startup teams, but he has also managed businesses at scale.  His foundation of Enterprise selling started at NetApp where he spent a collective 10 years in various leadership roles.  At Palo Alto Networks, Jeff was the Vice President of the Prisma Cloud business for the Americas.
