The Unsafeleak ransomware gang has attacked Barakat Travel Co. Barakat Travel Co is a travel agent headquartered in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It was founded in 1988 and caters to individual, corporate, and leisure customers. Bakarat Travel Co employs more than 80 people. The organization also offers private jet services and partners with many organizations around the world. Bakarat Travel Co provides a range of holiday packages, including Family Vacations, Romantic Escapes, Cruises, Yachting Vacations, Beach and Resort Vacations, Spa and Wellbeing Vacations, and Wildlife and Safari Vacations.
Unsafeleak posted Bakarat Travel Co to its data leak site on December 22nd, claiming to have stolen 130GB of data but did not provide any further information. Bakarat Travel Co has neither confirmed nor denied the incident, and it is unclear whether the organization paid a ransom, contacted authorities, or took any other form of action. Middle Eastern countries rarely disclose cyber incidents, so it’s unlikely that we will find out more about this attack.
