What's New Halcyon? Introducing Data Exfiltration Protection (DXP)

Halcyon is pleased to announce that Windows Agent 1.0.3179.0 and Linux Agent Beta 1.0.3179.0 have been released. This release contains several improvements.
What’s New:
The Windows and Linux agent release contains the following new features and improvements:
- Data Exfiltration Protection (DXP) is a new addon capability in the Halcyon Anti-Ransomware Agent which provides detection and blocking for suspicious and malicious data exfiltration attempts that accompany ransomware attacks. Through combining network and process behavior monitoring, threshold management, and network controls, DXP provides an additional line of defense against data extortion attempts. If data transfer exceeds a predefined threshold or a connection to a restricted IP/DNS is detected, the agent immediately flags the activity as suspicious and reports a detailed event in the console. This ensures that any anomalous behavior is quickly identified and addressed.
Note: The Linux agent is currently only available to customers as part of our Beta program. If you wish to evaluate the Linux agent, please reach out to your account executive and request to join the Halcyon Beta program.
